Bajirao Mastani Jewellery by P. N. Gadgil and Sons

Bajirao-Mastani this periodic film promises to be one of the biggest releases in the film world this year. Movie is based on a love story of Bajirao-peshwa and Mastani and is based in 1700’s. Jewellery is one of the most important feature of the movie, to show the art and grandeur of the era. P. N. Gadgil and Sons one of the most reputed jewellery brand in the country was the first choice to design and make jewellery for the movie.

Mr. Ajit Gadgil said, “A lot of research has gone into designing jewellery for the project. We have used old dyes and techniques from our archives and even used 200 years old real antiques for the movie. Audience will get to see some very authentic classic Maharashtrian designs, which haven’t been seen before.”

All the jewellery such as Necklaces, Waistbands (Kambar Patta), Anklets, Bangles, Nose pins, Hair accessories, Toe rings, Earrings, Mangalsutras, Arm Bands (Waki), Finger Rings etc was entirely handmade and a team of artisans worked exclusively for the project for over a year in various parts of the country viz Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Gujrat and Karnataka. Keeping in the mind era and the royal family background we have designed special brooch (sarpech) for Bajirao Peshwe along with Kadas and finger rings. Bajirao-Mastani film jewellery collection will be available at all our stores.
